PURCHASES AND REVIEWS | 3 for 2 in Boots

I am a HUGGEEEE drugstore fan...mainly because I am poor but also because, like recently, they usually have amazing offers on. Boots currently have a 3 for 2 on pretty much all cosmetics, hair, hair care, accessories, lotions, potions...you name it? It is probably in the offer! So being the sap that I am, I decided to spend some of the money that I really don't have and buy some things that I have wanted/needed/lusted over for a very long time. And also suck up my pride (I shall explain, hold on!)

Firstly, for the record, I do not usually give in to sales. I enjoy a good sale or a good promotion, but I am not drawn in by them. HOWEVER when it is 3 for 2 on pretty much everything I usually by it is a good opportunity. So the three things I got were things I have wanted for a very very long time...and the offer was on...it was like fate! I purchased Soap and Glory's 'Thick and Fast Mascara', Rimmel London's 'Apocalips' in Apocaliptic and the Stippling Brush from Samantha Chapman's Real Techniques collection (so basically I got the Apocalips for free, yay!)

I have been using Soap and Glory's Thick and Fast Mascara for about a year now, and I can hands down say it is my favourite mascara! It is practically perfect in every way (LIKE YOU AMELIA, oh shush you!) It lengthens, it volumizes, it separates and the colour is fantastic! The brush is HUGE so it covers every lash! Plus it is Soap and Glory and I cannot stop preaching to the beauty product God's who created such a fantastic range of products!

Now, I first came across the Apocalips range when I watch Kate's (DollyBowBow)'s video (LINK HERE). The colours were fantastic and they just looked great. So I have trawled eBay and cheap online stores but no where could I find any that were cheap (oh the student life!) But because the other two things I bought were blooming expensive I basically got this for free. So I am NOT complaining now! I bought this one in Apocaliptic as it seemed to be a colour between red and bright pink and so I thought I would try it out. And I do not regret the decision one bit. It isn't a lipgloss and it isn't a lipstick, it is very difficult to explain what it feels like. It is almost a toothpaste consistency I guess? I don't know. But yes. Everything about this is as perfect as I thought and I cannot wait to get the rest of the collection!

Lastly, and you have no clue how happy I am to finally have one, I got a Samantha Chapman Real Techniques brush. I swear to heaven I have wanted one since I discovered Pixiwoo God knows how long ago and now I finally have a brush of my own. And I am so over the moon with it! I wanted to get the Expert Face brush or the Powder Brush but they didn't have any, so I got the Stippling Brush instead and having already tried it out I can happily say I am NEVER GOING BACK TO SPONGES OR FINGERTIPS AGAIN. THIS BRUSH IS THE BEST PRODUCT I HAVE EVER BOUGHT. I think that pretty much sums it up. I cannot wait to get more of these brushes and hopefully get to the stage when I have them all because I am so so happy with the one I have and I plan on cherishing it like a child (wait...that sounds slightly creepy doesn't it...oh well!)

Even if you aren't a huge drugstore fan, I recommend you get down to your local Boots and have a look around. There is something for everyone there and you get 4 points for every pound you spend so it is worth getting/using an Advantage Card too! Boots is like heaven on Earth for me right now...someone restrain me!

  1. I know what you mean about Boots. Everytime I walk in I see something else I want to buy, it's not good!
