FAVOURITES | Lip balms and lipsticks!

I am not a big fan of lip balms or lipsticks really, I have to be in the mood to wear them. I will wear lip balms typically when I am going to bed, so my lips don't dry out over night, and when I am doing my makeup, so they stay hydrated when I am applying it. When I wear lipstick it tends to be 'go big or go home' so it will be pillar box red or deep deep purpley/red or bright pink! I am not a fan of neutrals on the lips, maybe because my lips are quite pink naturally so I don't like it...I don't know! So I thought for my post today I would show you guys some of my favourite lip based products that I love to use when I feel the need to seeing as I have been wearing lipstick quite a bit recently!

LIP BALMS

So lip balms are not my favouritest thing in the world. I find them sticky and irritating and often the ones that smell the nicest taste the worst. However I LOVE using them in the morning and at night and I will always have at least one in my hand bag at all times! I have roughly the same reasons for liking all of these - they moisturise really well, they don't pigment too much and they aren't too sticky on the lips! (My apologies for the state some of these are in, I keep them in my bag from time to time and they get battered and bruised!!)

LIPSTICKS

When it comes to lipsticks I really do have to be in the mood for wearing them. I won't wear lipstick every day, in fact I don't own enough to do that, but the ones I do have are amazing and I love them and I would go back to them every time, and like I said before, when it comes to them I believe it is 'go big or go home'! I like bold and brass colours from a lipstick, pigmented colours that stand out and make your lips look amazing! I naturally have quite big lips and I really do find that wearing lipstick makes them stand out so much more! (NOTE - I do also have a favourite Barry M one which I have currently mislaid which upsets me!) The swatch at the bottom is in order of how the photos appear on the post, but I'll write which is which for you!

So from left to right (or in the above pictures up to down) we have Rimmel Apocalips in ApocalIptic, Collection 200 Volume Boost in Sugar Pink (4), Avon in Red 2000, Collection 2000 Colour Pout (don't know what the name is unfortunately as it has rubbed off, I will try and find out and post it for you!) and Benefit Posie Tint.
