HAPPY 2019

A very Happy New Year to you all! I have been working up the courage to sit here and write this little post but here we are!

I wanted to create a 2018 roundup, but while  I was looking through all my pictures from the year I realised that it had been such an up and down year. So instead, I am looking forward to the New Year with hope and an open heart. I did, however, want to share some of my favourite bits from 2018.

My sister celebrated her 21st birthday in 2018. This year she starts the next journey of her life and I could not be prouder of her. We don't always see eye to eye, but she is a wonderful and kind person. I can't wait to see what the future holds, and I can't wait to go to shows with you!

2018 saw my biggest venture - my Disney nail collection! I cannot even begin to thank everyone for their support and love with the collection! It was such a labour of love but I am beyond happy with how they all turned out! Who knows, maybe this year will be the year of collections...

What a summer I had! I went to my first ever festival - Download 2018! I went with the only person I would trust enough to look after my anxious ass, my good friend Kim. She kept me sane and calm and at the end of it all we were 10 people back from the barrier for Guns n Roses, and that was just...amazing. I cannot wait to go back, it was honestly one of the BEST experiences of my life, and what an incredible first festival!

I had the opportunity in March to visit DisneyLand Paris too! I hope to go back soon and experience it properly but I had an amazing time, and I filmed some videos too! (yeah, I know, I suck at the whole YouTube thing, oh well!) Although I got stranded in Southampton because of the extreme weather, and had to travel to London and get the Eurostar instead, there is no better feeling than walking through the tunnel and seeing the castle in front of you!

A massive change happened in my life too, and for anyone who knows me you will know that whenever something happens I change my hair. For a little while I didn't change it because I liked what my hair was doing and it was growing but this time I decided to take the plunge! So, 2015 I cut all my hair off for charity, 2018 my hair had grown to the length it was before it was cut and then I cut it off again and got a fringe! I was so so happy with the change, and now it is growing so quickly I just can't decide what to do! I am thinking go long but keep the fringe, what do you guys think?

2018 was certainly the year for gigs, and 2019 is shaping up to have even more! I am very grateful to have a best friend and a dad who have the same taste in music as me, as it means I get the opportunity to see all these amazing bands! 2019 will see me see Greta Van Fleet, Metallica, Halestorm and even Spice Girls! (pictured is Shinedown from O2 Academy Bristol)

2018 was a tough year for me emotionally.  However, in July, I finally listened to the doctors, to my mum and to my body and I was signed off work for 2 weeks. I have moved twice, been heartbroken, emotionally unstable, physically unstable, lost friendships, gained friendships, found friends in unlikely places, grew my hair, cut my hair, threw out old memories, made new ones, lost a job I worked 3 years for, started to build a home...and through all of it my family was there to support and love me. I do not know where I would be without them, they are truly my rock and I will always be in their debt.

I know I haven't been the best blogger in the world, and I know that the world is moving past blogs, but I want to continue this little love of mine and really give it a good go this year and get back to writing. I want to focus on getting back into writing, improving my nail design skills.

Here's to 2019!
